Welcome back to Laurel TV, where we turn fashion fumbles into fabulous finds!
Today's confession: I thought I wasn't a "skirt person." But lately I've been wondering... am I wrong about this?
So I decided to get "skirt curious" (yes, that's what I'm calling it) and went on this whole mission to find the perfect mid-rise, knee-length skirt. Honestly thought it would be easy, but apparently the fashion world is obsessed with minis, maxis, and all these fancy midis that cost more than my rent.
I'm still not totally convinced skirts are "me," but I found a few that didn't make me feel completely weird. Started experimenting—throwing them on with my regular stuff: sneakers and a muscle tank, combat boots with a denim jacket, even tried one with a white blazer. Maybe the trick is just treating them like any other piece in my closet instead of this scary, feminine thing I have to style "properly"?
I'm still figuring it out, but this whole thing made me realize I've been writing off entire clothing categories without really giving them a fair shot. Maybe it's not about following some rulebook—maybe it's about what actually works for your life.
Anyone else questioning their fashion assumptions? Let's talk about it!
